The good news is I completed two gloves! One for the right and one for the left hand. I am very proud of being a completer finisher.
The other good news is that the left hand glove is TOTALLY perfect. It fits, there are no holes and its lovely and warm. The pattern stich is called 'blueberry stitch' it is super easy and super cute I reckon. The wool is lovely and thick and soft.
The seriously bad news is that the right hand glove is like the left's malnourished and deformed sibling. I was so obsessed with not finishing that I rushed it and made lots of mistakes and somehow made it half the size. I think if I was still in London, with the support of fellow knitters, I would have avoided such a ridiculous error! What a dork. Still, I am wearing them both and they are keeping me warm.
Rose, not only am I in awe of your gloves, but I am super excited about your wedding dress which I am going to look up as soon as I finish here. I was thinking about you today actually.
ReplyDeleteI love the gloves and I bet you can't even tell about the munted one when they are on. Actually you can't even tell on the pictures so you're sweet I reckon.
We were discussing your wedding dress on Monday when we had knitting at the top of the South Bank Centre in the sun. (we smuggled in wine and plenty of food).
