Play Possum

These are the possum merino gloves I have finally finished for my ma's birthday. She requested long fingerless mitts with a cable so hope she is happy with them. They are really super warm :)

BOOBIES!

Nate is modelling a boob hat which is for a friend's about to be born baby. I love the joke of wearing it while breastfeeding. Hope she thinks it is funny too! It's basically the umbilical cord hat.

Polly Pocket slippers

A pair of pocketbook slippers, a la Flegg. Very tempted to keep these as they are surprisingly cosy.

Under the Sea

I am extremely proud to present to you my sister's latest creation inspired by The Little Mermaid. She made this for me as a way of saying thank you for baby sitting her gorgeous children. I feel the pictures speak for themselves so I'll let you marvel in peace...enjoy!

Hat's the way to do it!

This is a hat I made for Nathaniel's friend Vince, who turns one this weekend. We are off to his party... (Natey's first part-ayyyy) We are heading into Winter here so hope Vince will get lots of use from it. Although have been picnicking on the lawn today in a tshirt and shorts so perhaps a woolly hat isn't needed just yet!

Mad Hatter

I made this at Katherine Elizabeth's studio today in Clerkenwell. Surprisingly quite easy to do!

Stockpiling

These are so good to stick in your bag and pull out when you manage to get a seat on the tube. I've decided to start stockpiling for future babies!

Envelope Cushion

I want to learn how to sew more now. I'm totally addicted!

Waitangi Day Treats for the Office.

Lolly cake went down a treat and I've had more requests :-)

Bath and Body.

Grapefruit cleansing balm, Ylang Ylang moisturiser, Rose hydrating mist and Orange face scrub.
Cold pressed soap.

Violet, Jasmine and Jellybean bath creamers
Massage bars, Ylan Ylang bath fizzes, orange lip balm and sugar scrub.
I've gotten a bit carried away lately. Doing a lot of courses at the Make Lounge in Highbury. Expensive but loads of fun!

EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!

Dalek bib. Now that the adventure of solids has begun, we are in need of many bibs! It remains to be seen whether or not a knitted bib will go the distance against pumpkin puree but will surely be fine for dribbles!

Snoodle

Here is the snood I made for Manja's birthday (And's design, not quite as chunky though). Modelled by the lovely Manja.

Macaron 5

For 2012 I decided to write a list of 12 things I wanted to do this year. One of the items was to learn how to make macarons and I thought I'd share my first attempts with you all!

These little pink ones are filled with raspberry smoothie buttercream.

These weird nipple looking ones were filled with chocolate ganache.

And last but not least, coconut buttercream - YUM!!

Hand in Glove

Birthday gloves for my friend Ruth.  These are the second attempt, I knitted them according to the instruction and they came out man size so these are in aran on smaller needles and are a normal size.   Ruth loves them and is wearing them all the time, done.

Let's talk about socks

My exciting Christmas news is that I finished two socks before Christmas day.  My mum will most likely be receiving socks every year now.  BIG drama on Christmas eve, I had to go to Truro (OMG, where will I park??!) to buy wool because I ran out about five rows to the end.  Couldn't find the same random wool I got in Beckenham about five years ago so the end of one sock is a different colour.

Progress on the train, as always...
Done!!

Something finally for me!

I got around to knitting these just before Christmas and now it's not really that cold enough to wear them!

Mauve and Mother of Pearl Scarf

Keeping with the Mauve theme I knitted a scarf for my Mum for Christmas.

Baby Rebecca's Organic Cotton Cardigan

Finally I have authorisation to post. Here are some of my latest efforts!
