Tea Shanties

Here is my Sea-themed Tea Cozie. I made it for my friends Ewan and Fiona for their wedding present. It is modelled on the "Green Goddess" one in the Tea Cozie book I have. Only Green Goddess has a grey stripe along the bottom (its supposed to be a dry stone wall.) I think mine is better. Thanks to the Cornish Tea Pot for modelling for me.

Ewan and Fiona asked everyone to donate to the Food Bank instead of giving them presents. They have also changed their middle and surnames to the towns where they were both born. Robert and I thought of doing that but that would mean my name would be Rosemary Hamilton-Palmerston North. Not much of a ring to it really.

The shrug

I thought I should put up a pic of the shrug I knitted for Al and Claire's wedding, as it was in Feb and cold!
I also thought it was appropriate to put this pic up as I am wearing the Deptford Market Dress from Anne, and shoes from Traid. So I was probably the cheapest dressed person there.
As you can see (Flair) the dress is static city, but somehow I coped!
I am sitting in my Auntie Val's suite at the country house where the wedding was held, having a quick cup of tea!
I've tried to rotate the pic but can't!

Ireland has lots of sheep

This was at the Sheep and Wool Centre in Connemara, Ireland. They have loads of sheep here, and I obviously had to buy some wool, which may become mittens. They also sell Aran sweaters everywhere you look (because the Aran Islands are here too) and they have labels on them that tell you who hand knitted each one!

Get 'down on it

Well it's not an eider'down', it's a quilt, but I couldn't think of any funky classics with the word quilt in them.

My mum made me a quilt for my upcoming special birthday (although she's very early because I'm still in my 20's and will be for AGES). It is really amazing, as you can see, here's my bed modelling it...

And the close up...

Puppy Love

I'm lucky enough to know some people who aren't babies, so my craft is for a 30 year old..! Here are some of my presents for my friend Sarah Puppy...

A charity shop dress that had some big poofy sleeves that I took off and sewed up. And a necklace which is a complete copy of one I bought for her when we were little...

She liked them.

yet more hats and booties. I can knit other things too, I promise!

Well, these are for Ali's twin boys, which are due any day now. I am slightly sick of the umbilical cord hat, but only because I have knitted about a million in the past few months. I may have to branch out and try a different pattern. Thing is, it is so quick and easy! Ditto the booties.
Richie's sister had her 3rd baby girl last week so currently doing the same again in PINK. I think it is safe to say- I am in a knitting groundhog day. After the pink set, only 2 more to do. Until the next pregnant friend of course.
For your viewing and knitting pleasure- the booties are on this link.....
