Cowboy Boots Y'all

I wanted to show y'all the Cowboy boots I bought in Houston, Texas yesterday.

I think this is appropriate for our "knitting" blog, considering the activities of our "knitting" circle were varied!

So, I really wanted some Cowboy boots. We saw this Boot Barn off the freeway after we had been to the Houston Space Center. Everyone who worked there wore either check shirts tied around their waists or big ten gallon hats.

Robert spent a long time looking at the expensive belt buckles and I tried on lots of boots. I hope you like these ones - they are super comfortable. I do worry that the style in general doesn't do much for ankles but I think they work pretty well so far.

We also went to the most amazing charity shop today: it was enormous and everything colour coded. (My personal favourite arrangement for charity shops). It was super cheap and all the dresses were $9.00. I tried on a few and looked at all the denim skirts but because we have to watch our pennies we just bought a $1.00 softball for throwing hard at each other.

  1. Wow Rose! They are choice. I like how they are red.
I can't wait to see another pic of a complete outfit (maybe incorporating some checks...)
I have been knitting up a Christmas storm, and made some earrings for Ro, Anh and Flair from leather scraps. I forgot to take pics but maybe you guys can??
We went to Cambridge this weekend and stayed in Catherine's College Halls of residence. It was so beautiful - all snowy and sunny.
I found a save the children shop with new wool so I stocked up with a few balls :0)
