Baby Black Wolf!

So here is Baby Black Wolf, at 19 1/2 weeks old. Looks like a no-armed alien, but we did see the correct number of arms and legs! Did not find out the baby's gender so it will be a surprise.

Lots of love to you all xxxxxxx

Bananaman!

This is the first bunch of bananas we have harvested. There are about three more bunches ready too. The freezer is filling up with bananas and I have found a banana wine recipe to make with them. It's cheating really to put these on the blog as really I had nothing to do with their growing. I did water them once. But I thought you'd be interested. The second picture is the first smoothie I made using: bananas from the garden and mandarins from the orchard. I guess we really need our own cow and berry patch then they would be properly home grown. (Maybe next year!) Richie's dad just offered us charge of the macadamias for the season, so we need to see if that is a feasible and desirable thing to do. It sounds cool in theory!

Denver the last dinosaur...

So, I was going through a few pics in the computer in an effort to make space for the pictures from the recent NZ road trip (and the thousands of Sirius the puppy pics) and I came across
these.... which I had basically forgotten I even knitted.
T-Rex was a present for baby Toby - I was embarrassed to give him to Hannah after Rowan's super starfish jumpsuit and Little Blue Penguin. However Hannah received him with enthusiasm anyway. I have realised that toys are not my forte (too much sewing up!) but he does look OK in the picture!

This hat was knitted for Kamilla, after she requested a "Barbie-pink" hat for her 40th birthday. I did start knitting it inside out but soon realised something was wrong....
I have many more things to update and post but they will have to wait for another day.
Lots of love Black Wolfers xxxxxxx

Sending you guys lots of love xxx

Crafty Wedding Presents

Robert and I were overwhelmed by the amazing presents we got for our wedding. Here is a round up of the crafty ones. (Especially for you Rowan)
Firstly, my personal favourite, knitted bunting from the Black Wolf. Thanks you guys!

Secondly, a wrestling themed needle point from Katherine Tham and Kane Harris. We went to watch Kane wrestle as Lazarus Volt in a show just last night! The wrestlers represented here are from top to bottom are: The Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant.

Thirdly, from my amazing aunty Janice, these beautiful woven place mats. Janice has four looms in her house!

From our amazing artist friends Toby and Sonya. When Robert and I first got together I had some rules about what kind of films we could rent - no shouting, shooting or Bruce Willis. Toby was Robert's flatmate at the time and turns out he always remembered the rules! Sonya is a photographer and Toby is an artist so they made this beautiful artwork for us. I love it.

And finally, from my Aunty Yola, this beautiful table cloth that was made for my Great Grandmother by her friend on her way to New Zealand on a ship. The photo shows a detail of the corners - how romantic is that
